Answers…

  1. How can I contact you?

You can click on the Contact Us link in the Customer Service menu or you can send us an email at customerservice@getsuckered.com Our Phone hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 3:30pm

  2. Do you ship to other countries, if so, how much is shipping fees?

We ship to most every country that can reach us via the internet. When you place an order through the shopping cart you'll see the estimated shipping and handling charges prior to submitting the order.

  3. What shipping methods do you offer?

We ship via USPS (United States Postal Service)

    • Priority Mail
    • Express Mail

(your choice at time of checkout). All shipping charges are calculated by an estimated product weight when you place your order. Actual shipping charges may vary slightly when the packaged order is weighed for correct postage. Our minimum shipping is $4.95 for the first pound.

BACK ORDERS: For all Back Ordered or Special Ordered items, each shipment has its own shipping charge.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES: After placing your order, fees will be manually calculated using actual weight and shipping charges via USPS Global Priority where available and insurance fees based on the value of the entire order. Customer is responsible for any customs or duties that may be applied. We do not know each country’s customs and duties fees. CANADA may take up to 3 weeks to deliver.

NOTE: There is a 10% Special Handling charge for all International orders. GET SUCKERED IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY OF ANY ORDER ONCE IT HAS BEEN SHIPPED. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Word about why we ship USPS: We’ve found that USPS offers the best service for the costs to you and to us. USPS Priority Mail is pretty much their regular shipping method. With Priority, they supply us with FREE shipping boxes and Priority is 1-3 days shipping time and includes tracking of the package as well. Also, we use the USPS because their locations are conveniently located everywhere in the domestic US for our customers. USPS enables us to ship all over the world affordably too! Their Express service is 1-2 days shipping time and much cheaper than any other carrier. Depending on where you and your US post office are located you may received the Express shipment in 1 or 2 days. You can also “will call” your order after you place it on the internet, just tell us in the comments box that you will be coming to pick it up. See will call instructions.

  4. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following credit cards:

    • American Express
    • Master Card
    • Visa
    • Discover

We also offer Pay Pal. Note: We don’t actually charge your credit card for your order until we pull it, pack it and weigh it!

  5. What is the recipe for making hard candy?

I recommend that you read our how to pages available from the home page on the right side. After you click there, you can scroll to the bottom of the first page where you see the picture of the hard candy star suckers. Click continue and it will take you to detailed-pictured instructions for making hard candy.

  6. There is no picture for the mold I want to view. How can I purchase an item I can't view?

Good question! We are adding the pictures as time and available staff permit. If there is a particular item you want to see, email us at customerservice@getsuckered.com and ask for a picture of the item. We really need you to provide the part number (the description is not enough info for us to look it up).

  7. When I call you I just get an answering machine. I have questions, what is the best way to get them answered?

I know an answering machine can be frustrating. Honestly, we have a limited staff to return phone calls timely, however, if you will email us your requests, we usually answer those all through out the day, and emails are great for archiving your questions and answers and keeping record of them, like recipes and ideas etc. Just email us at customerservice@getsuckered.com

  8. Can I come in and pick up my order?

Will Call Policy ~~~~~~~~~~~ALL orders to be picked up must be place on Website Shopping Cart. www.getsuckered.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~This is the best way for you to choose the products you want to buy. ~~~~~~~To place the order, go to www.getsuckered.com ~~~~~~~When you place your order, type in the comments box that you will be picking up your order so we don't ship it. ~~~~~~~You can call us for a pickup time after you place the order. 714-524-1964 ~~~~~~~You will not be charged until you pick up the order. You may choose the payment method “telephone” and pay via cash, check or credit card when you arrive. ~~~~~~~When you pick up the order, there is no shipping fee. ~~~~~~~You may order via telephone, however, all orders placed via telephone are charged approx. 10% higher costs than orders placed on our website.

  9. When I was on your website shopping cart a windows notice said I was going to a page that is not secure. That makes me very nervous about ordering! Isn't your site secure?

In a word YES! GetSuckered.com is a very secure site. We have our SSL Certificates renewed yearly in advance. Now, a word about what that means. ~~~~~~~~~~~Not every page on a website that accepts online orders needs to be secure. ~~~~~~~~~~Only the pages which require you to enter personal information need to be secure. You will notice anytime you are surfing the web the page addresses in your browser window, the URL (website address area), will begin with http:// this is where you would enter www.getsuckered.com - for instance. When you go to place your order, checkout etc. and you're going to a page that you would be entering personal info, credit card info etc., the URL-address will change to begin with https:// you should look for the added s which means it is a secure page and the information/data you enter is encrypted. That is as technical as I get! Anyway, as you move back to continue shopping or you have completed your order, our cart will leave the secure area pages and a Windows notice box appears to tell you you are not in a secure area which leads people to believe that the site is not secure. Now you know better, right? Rest assured that your information is never shared and is secure on our internet shopping cart.

  10. I was signed on and I didn't get to finish my order and had to leave. Do I have to start over?

No, sign back onto the website and your items should be waiting for you in your cart. On the home page, look in the right top corner of the page and it should have your cart item count there. Click it to view your cart! Note: The items you have in your cart are not actually taken from the cart inventory count until you submit the order and get an order number. If you order the last of an item in stock and don't submit the order for a while, another shopper could purchase that item. So don't wait too long to submit the order!

  11. I love your site and it all looks like fun, but I don't know how to do this. Where do I start?

I suggest you start with viewing the how to pages, which we'll be adding more and more to as time and staff permits! You can learn about melting and molding and much more and even print the pages there! You can even learn how to make hard candy with over 185 flavors! We have the most extensive hard candy making supplies available. Next you might want to order a seasonal kit for starts. Click on our kits catagory and see if there is one that interests you!

  12. Who can answer all my questions?

Any question that you don't see here, please submit via email to customerservice@getsuckered.com We are always happy to help in any way we can.

  13. How do I know what bag or stick is right for the mold I ordered and how much chocolate do I need?

Okay, the average most popular stick size is 4 1/2 inches long by 5/32 inches thick (4/5x5/32). Most popular bag size is flat 3 inches wide by 5 and 1/2 inches tall (3x5.5). You want about 1 inch of stick into the sucker and you want enough bag to tie it off around your stick!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Someday on our PERFECT website, the heavenly GetSuckered.com (hear the harps! LOL) we'll have the stick and bag size, ounces of each cavity and exact dimensions listed with each and every mold, however, until then, if you're not sure, email us at customer service, include our part number (we need it to help you) and your question and we will get you the info. Some of the molds have this info already, however, our vendors do not supply all this info when we purchase their molds, we have to obtain it ourselves. On the average for the chocolate molds, if there are say 5 pieces (cavities)on the mold, they are approx. 2 and 1/2 inches in diameter, you can get approximately 15-20 per 16 oz. bag of candy coatings (chocolate). If there are 4 cavities per mold, they could very well take an ounce per piece. Always buy a pound more than you think you need, you can always use it or eat it later!

  14. Why do you require minimum order?

Come on, don't you need some sticks or bags or chocolate to go along with those molds? People ask us why we have a minimum order all the time. I love this business and the happiness it brings to soooo many people all over the world, what could be sweeter!? I've been in this business since 1981 and selling on the internet for 12 years! What a financial roller coaster! To be quite honest, there's not much profit in it unless the orders are bigger and there are lots of orders! Think about it, bigger warehouse, bigger rent! Bigger, better, faster websites and shopping carts, bigger expenses! And it goes on from there! LOL! While offering very reasonable prices for our customers, we must require this established minimum of $4.00 in order for a package to be profitable. The expenses involved on our end require an order of at least $4.00 or it is not very profitable to ship the order. So there you have it. Our goal is to remain in business profitably! We want to be here, on the internet, for our customer's convenience, offering the most complete all around Candy Supply (and more cake supply soon) Site available to everyone who can reach us! It's alot of work, let me tell you. By the Grace of God GetSuckered.com is still here getting it done, trying to stay sweet! I know, TMI! LOL

  15. Do I have to place my order online? I am not very good at it!

All of our orders go through our shopping cart for inventory purposes. Our internet prices are very reasonable. We're able to offer these reasonable prices on our streamlined website shopping cart which does not require us to have alot of employees, thereby lowering our overhead. We encourage you to place the order through our shopping cart, that way you know what we have in stock, your shipping fees and you get email confirmations etc. We'll accept your order over the telephone for an additional 10%, minimum $5.00 telephone surcharge which pays for our staff to enter your order for you. You may also send your order via fax (714-577-8677) with all of the information, including your credit card, month and year of expiration and three digit security code on the back of the card. We'll be adding the surcharge to your order.

  16. How do I figure how much chocolate to buy?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HOW TO: Calculate the required amount of chocolate. If you need to calculate how much chocolate is required for a mold we've found that using water is a good way to do it. Water measures around the same as chocolate. Fill one of the mold cavaties with water, then pour it into a measuring cup that has ounces on it. Sometimes you can get this on a shot glass in a kitchen supply store. You can also weigh it on a scale. If your scale will re-zero then put the empty mold on the scale, re-zero the scale, then fill one mold cavity with water and check the weight. Say it is 1 oz., you can get approx. 15-16 to 1 pound of chocolate.
